About The Artwork
The joy that comes from radiant light breaking through the clouds and hitting glistening water is enchanting to me. Private Moments draws its energy from old renaissance concepts that painters used like Raphael, Thomas Eakins, perhaps even Eduardo Manet and applies those principals in a contemporary manner. It’s that idea of being in a beautiful place and becoming one with it. Francisco Goya understood this principle well.
