About The Artwork

Within this painting, I was searching for a modern contemporary feel. I wanted a bold, impactful look. I think I got it with the fire of the red and the iciness of the blue. Working in acrylic paint can be tricky to get certain effects. But over the years I have learned to use them more like oils and watercolors. I hope you enjoy these flowers as much as I do; I hope you can feel the power of the color, the freedom of movement in the paint and the beauty of the delicate flower.
