About The Artwork
Harriet “Moses” Tubman
When we think about Harriet Tubman, it’s easy to see her being on the road, running from place to place under the shadow of night. Hiding in the bushes, moving from safe house to safe house with freshly freed families. Being constantly on high alert, oh and I imagine full of adrenaline. This artwork brings her home for a quiet moment, but resolute and ready before she goes back out to rescue more enslaved souls.
