Rembrandt By Candlelight

When you talk about a painting that makes your walls feel good, this is it... How this painting came to be at times I go back and study great artists in time. At the time I was studying Rembrandt and got my pallet all laid out and my ideas ready to go when bam.... The lights went out! Not wanting to waste the paint I had already prepared, I recalled Rembrandt's experience of painting by candlelight. So, I got some candles and began working. I must say, painting by candlelight, with its flickering and casting shadows, made me believe that Rembrandt likely painted the majority of his works during the daytime. I got the painting done the way I want it but I would not suggest this method to any other artists, lol funny...
